Alex Marshall I may prefer folk music, But I'm a sucker for a good bit of electronica. Each song is original and fresh, and thank the lord, she doesn't use autotune. Favorite track: Never Had It.

Krista Sidloski Kat Burns is one of the best musicians I have ever heard. She's so versatile and exciting with everything she produces; I am literally never disappointed with anything that she, and her bands, come out with. This album is amazing to jam, and dance and sing to. Great musicianship on all band members parts, accompanied by an incredible voice.. How can you go wrong? :)

Never Had It 03:25
Maybe I was a fool to hang on to someone that would never change Maybe I was a fool, never let on just how much my heart was strained Maybe I was a fool for thinking that I might be worth your time Maybe I was a fool for dreaming that we might just work out fine And I've been thinking about a lot of things, and I've been waiting for this day to come. Maybe I was a fool to hang on, maybe I should have let you go Maybe I was a fool to let on but somebody had to show And maybe I was a fool to think that this could be all so worthwhile Maybe I was a fool to think that I could fight off my denial And I've been thinking about a lot of things, and I've been waiting for this day to come. And now I'm feeling the animosity and I think we're done. Maybe we never had it anyways, maybe we never had it anyways.

Take all that I give you with a grain of salt hold me for as long as I let you, it's not your fault It's not your fault that I left town that night I needed time to breathe and space to leave a trace of me in the snow. Take all that I leave you with a grain of salt hold on to the one that you once knew, it's not your fault I needed time to breathe and space to leave a trace of me in the snow. In the snow is where I met you first, shaking aching hands by the season's end you'd grown so mighty drinking from the land and you with giant stature, well you took me like your first when I was at my best, you were at my worst. My worst, my worst, my worst. I needed time to breathe and space to leave a trace of me.

On the twenty third of last month, a dangerous wind set in. Tried to hide ourselves in the books we read but the shadow knocked and we let the shadow in. You can write all you want about this life, using diction as your weapon of choice but your words won't survive without blood in your heart and marrow in the bones that frame your spine. Now we're bleary eyed and confused, tied to wires and tubes and screens. And the accolades that are sent down the hall, the praises keep you awake. Goodbye to the light when the hideout came, the winds wouldn't stay away. But relent to the ghost and the weight that it held when the shadow knocked and we let the shadow in. You can write all you want about this life, using diction as your weapon of choice but your words won't survive without blood in your heart and marrow in the bones that frame your spine. You can write all you want about this beauty, using diction as your weapon of choice, but your words won't survive without blood in your heart and marrow in the bones that frame your spine.

Prophet 03:14
They say it can't be done in the time we have "but don't lose hope, or give up now" From atop the hill, what a scenic view. But, avert your eyes like you never knew. Never wanted to be a prophet, give it to me straight I can handle it. Now rest assured the task at hand is a daunting climb towards a bare summit... Never wanted to be a prohet, give it to me straight. I can handle it.

You can't believe how far we have come now we've been laying out all of our cards in a row 630 days we've counted; years gone away. This takes me back to when our feet were in the snow Underneath the façade my body trembled When you said you would stay, I thought you'd found a way but you're gone when I need you here now. Howling winds and nights alone will haunt you envision your escape for the thousandth time wait up for the sun to come up, mourning years gone away This takes me back to when our feet were in the snow Underneath the façade my body trembled When you said you would stay, I thought you'd found a way but you're gone when I need you here now. You brought me back to life after I thought it was done hands up, fists clenched, I can hear you screaming: This takes me back to when our feet were in the snow Underneath the façade my body trembled When you said you would stay, I thought you'd found a way but you're gone when I need you here now.

Lamplight 03:35
Found you at the river, drank up all your words oh fortune was calling, trapped in the muddy earth Dark flesh in the lamplight, we've travelled far from home our hands growing callussed from scraping at the stone my fingernails are cracking from scratching at the borders you defend. And when does your lover call you a lover and when does your lover call you just a friend? There's gold in this water, there's rubies down there. Your obvious longing is keeping you here. Found safety in numbers, one three five and nine and formed a small army of thoughts to hide behind my fingernails are cracking from scratching at the borders you defend and why does your lover call you a lover when all that your lover needs now is a friend? There's gold in this water, there's rubies down there. Your obvious longing is keeping you here.

Gibraltar 02:24
All the branches, casting shadows on the water where we bathe, steaming bodies, moonlit figures in a barefoot cavalcade and the silence, oh the silence, almost too much for the brave Rocky footsteps tease the shoreline as the city fades away. Rosy skin and summer glowing under winter's matted hair Dropping icicles on bonfires that no one knows are there on a clear night, on a clear night, you can stop and stare dying stars and fleeting lives become so vivid standing there.
8.
Cursed Wind 02:43
Curse this wind at my back, it's pushed me forward a long time. Now I know why you cried for your daughter when she left the house. And the sand at my feet, it's slowed me down for years now. Why do you fall asleep with the light on, night after night? And don't wait up on my accord, I might be late. Curse this bed where I lay, beneath the hands that guide me. Now I know why the lines of your worry run down your face. And the sand at my feet, it's slowed me down for years now. Why do you fall asleep with the light on, night after night? And don't wait up on my accord, I might be late.
9.
Easy Prey 02:46
I saw the fire in your eyes when you decided you'd leave me out by the roadside. The wind, it carried the weight away from you. Don't you drag me out to see the flies collecting. You're in my heart, you're in my head. Night sunken, like lead on fishing line. Troll the bottom feeders for your easy prey. In silent waiting she will fade away from you. Don't you validate these situations I'm inventing out there. Out there. You're in my heart, you're in my head.

Two steps forwards, run six paces. Tell me where you are, tell me where you are. The sun still rises, eastwards faces. Fills my room with light, fills my room with light. Maybe it's time for us to find a place where we can stay put. Maybe it's time to draw the line and finally put a foot down. Dreams, they haunt us. Distance wraps us. Tell me why you care, tell me why you care. Constant worry, an endless flurry. I give all I can give, I give all I can give. Maybe it's time for us to find a place where we can stay put. Maybe it's time to draw the line and finally put a foot down. Maybe it's time for us to find a place where we can stay put. Maybe it's time to draw the line and figure all our shit out. Constant worry, an endless flurry. I give all I can give. Maybe it's time for us to find a place where we can stay put. Maybe it's time to draw the line and finally put a foot down. Maybe it's time for us to find a place where we can stay put. Maybe it's time to draw the line and figure all our shit out.

Bloodlines 04:07
As a child I thought I knew everything, by the way that days unfolded. I would now contest that it were anything, as the layers peeled and the blinds unfolded. Now I look into your eyes and wonder where my bloodlines ran. Traipsed across the world in order to find a kinder land. As a child I thought I knew everything, but I knew nothing then and I'm still learning. Feeling norwesterlies blowing in my history right on top of us. Now I look into your eyes and wonder how the family bled, feeding hungry mouths when all you had was a barren land. We will share our story (I've fallen into the heart of it) We will share our story (I've fallen into the heart of it) We will share our story (I've fallen down to the hear of it now) As a child I thought I knew everything...
